Judo Academy

The Academy is the backbone of the Hampshire Judo Academy project. We aim to help develop Judo athletes prior to, an during their transition to national and international training via the British Judo Association Performance structure, higher education such as TeamBath or independant performance centres such as Camberley Judo Club.

The academy is in essence a careers advisory and management service for parents, coaches and of course players.

The academy programme extends beyond performance athletes and also aims to support those whose area of pursuit are different to competing. Our objectives include providing pathways for young people to follow into coaching, refereeing, management, sport science, medicine and other sport support services – be that in Judo or other sports.

We are actively seeking to develop partnerships with young athletes (Judo and other sports) and with other organisations, such as sports clubs, sports governing bodies, sports businesses, physiotherapists, educational institutions, charities and voluntary organisations.
